About Root Cause

Treating the Root Cause

Through nearly three decades of Family Practice and Palliative Care, I have realized that conventional medicine does not address the root cause of many of the chronic health issues that people face today. To better care for my patients, I sought out additional training and education. I have learned how to recognize and treat the root causes of many of today’s chronic ailments, such as fatigue, poor sleep, and stress-related illnesses.

Listening and communication

Attentive listening and communication are key in assisting someone on their journey to optimal health. I have honed these skills as a Family Physician and as a Palliative Care Physician. It was in my practice of Palliative Care that I fully recognized that the emotional and spiritual aspects of the journey were equally important. What soon became obvious was that with patience, compassion and communication, the burden of the dying process could be somewhat alleviated. I spent the ensuing years honing my skill set, and now apply it to all aspects of my practice.
